I have been saying for years now that we need to put the "public servant" back into politics.  We need candidates that actually care about the people, not about the power, fame or potential dollars they themselves will earn from their time in public office.  

During the last election I felt that John Edwards had that kind of attitude toward the position of President.  I was glad to see his work with One Corps and other things.  Keep going John, you've got the right idea! Lord knows we can really use a President that means it when he says he's for the  people - ALL the people.

Perhaps approaching the office of President from this perspective will not only end this senseless war, but also allow us to make headway on issues of energy and the environment, healthcare and education.
